Oman welcomes UN Security Council call for ceasefire in Sudan

Oman has welcomed the United Nations Security Council's call for a ceasefire in the Republic of Sudan.

In an official statement the Foreign Ministry said the majority resolution was an important step towards achieving stability and peace.

The statement emphasised the importance of dialogue to end conflict and strengthen national unity for the Sudanese people.
