A delegation from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has begun a visit to the Republic of Indonesia to strengthen trade and investment relations. It also hopes to establish partnerships between the private sectors of both friendly countries and to exchange expertise and experiences.

The delegation is headed by Hamoud bin Salem Al Saadi, Second Vice Chairman of OCCI's Board of Directors. He said the visit aims to explore trade and investment opportunities between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Indonesia. He added that the delegation also aims to benefit from Indonesian experiences in the commercial sector.

Hamoud Al Saadi added that during the visit, the delegation will examine the latest developments in key sectors such as food security, urban planning, contracting, construction, manufacturing and renewable energy. The delegation will make presentations about investment opportunities in Oman and it is expected that several cooperation agreements will be signed.

Anwar bin Hamad Al Sanani, Head of the OCCI branch in Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate, said that the Chamber has organised a comprehensive programme for the delegation. This includes visits to several institutions in both the public and private sectors in Indonesia, meetings with Indonesian business executives and taking part in a trade exhibition.

The delegation comprises 26 members drawn from OCCI's Board of Directors, representatives from government bodies and chairs and members of committees representing various sectors, including small and medium enterprises, health, construction, food security, logistics services, manufacturing industries and renewable energy.
