Rumaitha Al Busaidi
Climate Change Activist
Rumaitha is a scientist and environmental advocate working with the Omani government on diversification. She is an executive board director of the Environment Society of Oman, and the first female football analyst in the Arab World.
Rumaitha advised the US Biden Administration on developing climate resilient and feminist foreign aid, the government of Greenland on creating a sustainable tourism framework, and the Arab League on empowering youth in climate change negotiations.
Rumaitha has been recognised by the UN, EU, and NATO. She is on Reuters’s climate hot list, their Top 25 Women in Climate Change list, and the BBC 100 Women List.
