Senior officials of Oman and EU meet

A meeting between senior officials of the Sultanate of Oman and the European Union (EU) began at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat today.

The two-day meeting at the level of technical work teams, comes within the framework of the cooperation agreement, signed in 2018 between the Foreign Ministry and the EU’s External Action Service (EEAS).

The Omani side was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs while the European side was headed by Carl Hallergard, Director for the Middle East and North Africa of EEAS.

The meeting covered topics related to cooperation between Oman and the EU in various fields.
