Political Undersecretary meets US officials

Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign MInistry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, held meetings with Kurt Campbell, US Deputy Secretary of State and a number of officials from the State Department and the White House. The meetings took place on the sidelines of the second Omani-American Strategic Dialogue in Washington.

During the meetings, they discussed aspects of bilateral relations and regional issues, most notably the Palestinian issue. The meetings covered the Omani position demanding an immediate cessation of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, intensifying efforts to bring in humanitarian aid and working to establish an independent Palestinian state.
