Political Undersecretary meets with Palestinian Ambassador

Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, met today with Dr Tayser Farahat, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting Sheikh Khalifa stated the firm position of the Sultanate of Oman in support of Palestine and its just cause.

He also explained the efforts being made by Oman and how it is in contact with brotherly and friendly countries in order to stop the brutal Israeli aggression and killing of innocents in Gaza.

He said Oman is seeking to build support for the necessity of allowing humanitarian aid to reach the people of Gaza and for Oman's rejection of attempts to displace them.

Dr Farahat said the Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian people appreciate the position of the Sultanate of Oman and the efforts it is making. He also said he appreciates Oman's initiatives and the solidarity he is seeing among Omani citizens over the killing and destruction which the people of Gaza are being subjected to by the Israeli occupation forces.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry.
