Oman and USA hold official talks

An official session of talks between the Sultanateof Oman and the United States was held at the Foreign Ministry today.

The session explored areas of cooperation between the two countries and reaffirmed their keenness to continue promoting cooperation in various fields. The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional matters of common concern.

The Sultanate was represented by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs at the Foreign Ministry, whilst the US was represented by Wendy Sherman, Deputy Secretary of State‏.

The session was also attended by the American Ambassador to Oman and a number of officials from the foreign ministries of both countries.
