Bilateral Relations

The Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Morocco established a strong relationship far back in history at the dawn of Islam. They share common ground built on trust, mutual respect and a belief in their shared history.

The two countries work hard to reinforce and strengthen their constructive cooperation and their fraternal bonds in the best interests of the two peoples.

Oman and the Kingdom of Morocco have always worked side by side to promote peace and stability, coordinating together on regional and international issues.

Consular services

The Embassy provides a range of consular services for both Omani citizens wishing to visit Morocco and Moroccans applying for a visa for the Sultanate of Oman, depending on the purpose of their intended visit (tourism, work). These services include:

  • Issuing temporary travel document (Laissez-Passer) for Omani citizens (for more information click here)
  • Handling emergencies involving Omani citizens (for more information click here)
  • Providing services to Omanis studying in Morocco
  • Handling the visa application process for Moroccan citizens wishing to travel to Oman (for more information click here)

Main objectives

The Sultanate’s embassy in Morocco aims to achieve certain goals including the following:

  • Strengthening political, diplomatic and economic cooperation
  • Boosting trade and investment cooperation
  • Enhancing cultural, educational and scientific cooperation

Political and diplomatic cooperation

The Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Morocco work and coordinate together to define the best possible areas of collaboration among both governmental and private sector bodies.

Trade and investment cooperation

The Embassy works to promote trade and investment exchanges between the two countries to build a strong economic partnership for mutual benefit.

Cultural, educational and scientific exchanges

The Embassy works to take advantage of the opportunities available in Morocco for Omanis to study for both undergraduate and graduate degrees. It also promotes cultural and scientific exchanges between the two countries.
