Reception ceremony held for Algerian President on state visit
A formal reception ceremony was held for President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria on the occasion of his state visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
Upon the arrival of the car carrying His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said and the Algerian President at the grounds of Al Alam Palace, His Majesty escorted the Algerian President to the dais where the Algerian national anthem was played and a 21 gun salute was fired in tribute to the distinguished guest.
His Majesty then greeted the official delegation accompanying the Algerian President, welcoming them and wishing them a pleasant and successful visit.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in turn greeted the Omani officials present. Among the welcoming party were members of the Royal Family, the Chairmen of the State and Shura Councils, Ministers and senior commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and the Royal Oman Police.
Afterwards, His Majesty and the President proceeded to the majlis hall for coffee.
