Oman and Spain hold political consultations.
Oman and Spain held their third session of political consultations between their Foreign Ministries.
The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, while Spain's was headed by Diego Martínez Bello, Secretary of State for Global and Political Affairs.
During the session in Madrid, the delegates discussed aspects of cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening ties in line with the visions of their respective leaderships.
They also exchanged views and consulted on regional and international issues of mutual concern, stressing the importance of de-escalation in the region and the need for a ceasefire in Palestine and Lebanon.
Sheikh Khalifa expressed his appreciation for Spain's advanced stance on regional issues, particularly its recognition of the State of Palestine, while the Spanish official praised Oman's positive role in bridging perspectives and resolving regional issues.
Omar Said Omar Alkathiri, Oman's Ambassador to Spain, attended the meeting along with several officials from both countries.
