His Majesty received the credentials of the Ambassadors to Oman of eight countries.
GCC Foreign Ministers called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, an end to Israel's military operations in Gaza and an end Israel’s blockade, announcing funding of US$ 100 million for an aid package to reach Gaza urgently.
His Majesty spoke of the need to intensify efforts to halt the violence in the Gaza Strip and to protect civilians.
During a phone call the leaders exchanged views on developments in the Palestinian territories.
His Majesty and the UN Secretary General also discussed efforts aimed at strengthening international peace and security.
His Majesty reviewed developments in the Palestinian arena, reaffirming the Sultanate’s solidarity with the Palestinian people while supporting calls for de-escalation, in particular an end to attacks on innocent children and civilians.
During the phone call there was an exchange of views on regional and international issues of current interest.
The two monarchs reviewed the strong relations between Oman and Spain.
