In a speech opening the meeting, which focussed on three issues, Oman's Foreign Minister said the Sultanate will continue to harness its capabilities to support the advisory body.
They discussed ways to enhance existing cooperation, especially in the fields of trade and investment cooperation and economic diversification.
The meeting reviewed the good relations between the two friendly countries and emphasised the keenness of both sides to strengthen and develop them in various fields.
The summit discussed the two sides efforts to establish a new partnership and comprehensive cooperation, with a view to promoting their common interests.
In his speech, President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, called for the consolidation of the GCC - China economic partnership, to accomplish integration and push development forward.
The GCC Supreme Council commended Oman’s announcement on endorsing the year 2050 as the date for achieving zero neutrality in carbon emissions.
In his opening speech, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said close cooperation among GCC states will lead to the accomplishment of the desired goals.
The session was held at the headquarters of the GCC Secretariat Generalin Riyadh.
