Foreign Minister holds meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) held a consultative meeting at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat today.

The two Ministers exchanged cordial conversation before reviewing opportunities for cooperation and partnership between the two countries at both the government and private level.

The two sides also affirmed their determination to hold the first meeting of the Oman-KSA Coordination Council during 2023 after the formation of the Council's committees and teams. These committees and teams will hold preparatory meetings in the near future.

With regard to political matters and regional and international issues, the two ministers discussed a range of subjects and the latest developments, stressing the importance of continuing to coordinate their positions. They also underlined the importance of constructive cooperation in addressing the challenges facing the region using peaceful means, dialogue and achieving consensus in order to consolidate security, stability and peace for all.

Oman-Foreign-Minister-meets-Saudi-Foreign-MinisterAt the end of the meeting, the two Ministers asserted the depth of the well developed fraternal ties binding the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They also reaffirmed the keenness of their leaderships to empower and advance the progress of cooperation and partnership in all spheres for the benefit and growth of the two countries and their peoples, as well as for the wider region and the GCC states.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khaled bin Hashel Almuslahi, Head of the Minister's Office, Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al-Maskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's GCC Department and a number of ministry officials.

On the Saudi side, it was attended by Abdullah bin Saud Alanazi, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Oman and the delegation accompanying His Highness Prince Faisal.
