Oman and Belarus hold talks

Oman and the Republic of Belarus held a seventh round of political consultations in Muscat.

Oman was represented by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, and Belarus was represented by Evgeny Shestakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Relations between Oman and Belarus were discussed and the keenness of both countries to continue developing cooperation in all fields was emphasised. A number of regional and international issues were also discussed, including the repercussions of the Israeli war on Gaza.

The session was attended by Ambassador Munther bin Mahfouz Al Mandhari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Europe Department; Sergei Terentyev, Ambassador of Belarus to Oman, and a number of officials from both countries.
