Uzbekistan: Ambassador and Oman Investment Authority meet ministers

As part of  a visit by a delegation of the Omani Investment Authority to Uzbekistan, Sheikh Nasser Al Harthy, Deputy Chairman of the Omani Investment Authority and Chairman of Asyad Group, met with Laziz Kudratov, Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade.

The meeting was attended by AlSayyida Wafa Jabr Nasser Albusaidi, Oman's Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Engineer Abdulrahman Al Hatmi, CEO of Asyad Group and several officials from the Omani Investment Authority.

During the meeting, the Omani Uzbek investment partnership was discussed and a memorandum of understanding was signed regarding exploiting investment opportunities in the ports and logistics sector.

Sheikh Nasser Al Harthy, Deputy Chairman of the Authority, also met with Uzbek Minister of Transport, Ilhom Rustamovich Makhkamov. The meeting was attended by Oman's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, the CEO of Asyad, and several officials from the Authority.

The meeting reviewed the development of relations between Oman and Uzbekistan in the field of transportation between the two countries and the possibility of Asyad Group's participation in transport related projects was explored.
