Foreign Minister receives Iranian Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received in Muscat today Dr Ali Bagheri, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Dr Bagheri is paying a visit to the Sultanate to hold a meeting of the Strategic Consultation Committee between Oman and Iran.

The meeting reviewed relations between the two countries and underscored the keenness of both sides to enhance relations in various areas to serve their mutual interest.

The two sides also touched on regional and global issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Diplomatic Undersecretary of Oman's Foreign Ministry; Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Minister’s Office and Ali Najafi Koshroudi, Iran's Ambassador to Oman, as well as a number of officials from both sides.
